Some minor "tricks" to make your channel more visually pleasing and more profitable:

If you dont want the Short Form Video text displayed above your video content - use the Amazon feed URL instead of the Roku feed URL.

Use thumbnails to make a visual separation of tour content.

If you use the same thumbnail or the same design for all the videos in the same "category" or "topic" and then move all the videos to the same topic one after the other, the look and feel of the channel will change drastically.

Doing so will also have a nice and easy "pre-selection" to place your infomercials.

Let me show you in one example what it looks like on one of the channels we made in the DFY service.

The DShift99 Channel

You will notice the lvie stream at the channel's beginning, followed by categorized videos and ad spots - in this case, we called them "Buzfomercials."

Or on the World Movement Enterprises Channel, where we start the channel with a live feed - then an ad - 5 videos - another ad - and so on.

The instant update part of the SDK app allows us and you to "play" around with your content and ads. Move your content around in the video lineup, and you have a fresh new look or a more "profitable" placement for your infomercials.

And the last tips for this session. I'd say the most important from a user experience point of view.

Please always check your designs on all available screen sizes.

Go into your Roku device settings - look for display settings and change to all available options one by one.

Why is this very important?

Roku will resize at scale only the background image but not what goes over it. So the channel logo, texts, and thumbnails -will not be.
