Before converting your first feed, you should first:

make sure you have a Roku device connected to your developer account
make sure you have installed putty
make sure you activate the developer mode on your Roku device.

What I highly recommend doing is :

Setup a test or work channel in TV boss fire

Create some image templates you will use in your test/work channel setup to help you visualize what image goes where or is used for what purpose.

Convert the test/ work channel into SDK and sideload it.

You can "experience" your first conversion, but it will also help you understand different parts of the Channel Template.

I recommend using the same test/work channel to test your video and image quality.

I also recommend setting up and "publishing the same test/ work channel as a Beta channel in your developer account. Sometimes, an option will work on a sideloaded channel but not on Roku. So it is always best practice, at least at the beginning, to try the channel as a beta channel to ensure your setup looks and works as you intended.

Here are the images I used the first time I used a template.

Right-click and "save image as" to save them to your computer.

In the resource section, I also linked to the channel template download.

So download the images - and the template - replace the images, add your test/ work channel feed URL - save - zip - and upload to your device - voila .... you can see what is what and where.
